Petition for Rebellion Modding Section

So far the modding section here has been all Trinity modding, but people are starting posts about modding Rebellion Beta.

StarClad, start a Rebellion modding section since Trinity and Rebellion are completely different entities and there will be just too much confusion if they are in the same.

I would rather prefer an entirely re-worked modding section...

The problem is that there are so many "active" threads in the modding section that even "current" threads are backed to the 2nd or 3rd page...an entirely different organization I feel is in order, and segregating mods based off of sins version would just be one part of that organization...

at a first glance the idea to separate by Sins version sounds good.

on a second thought it might split the community and basic questions will be more harder to get answered?

What about a separation by "Modding Tech Discussions" and "Talk specific Mods"?

Separating the "Here's my mod!!" threads from the "How do I mod?" threads is a pretty good idea, good sir....

Hmmm, I don't think it's a good idea modding the beta, kinda defeats the object.

I'm sure when it's released in full modders will be rampant and there'll be a section just for them ;)

Nothing wrong with modders really digging in and figuring out what needs doing and sharing info so that when it is finally released, then easier to release.  The most basic of mods for rebellion will get posted first -stuff like wp boost, fleet size, corvette alterations, etc... Total Conversions will require a lot of time to get to Rebellion.

I'm in favor of it being created right now so modders can share info and also steer those modding now to also focus on Beta testing Rebellion.  Really, since Trinity and Rebellion are quite different under the hood, there should probably be a Rebellion Technical, as well as, MP section.

Stickying mods -even good ones- isn't StarClad's responsibility.  The community and modders should be posting in their threads to keep them high on the forums.  What happens if StarClad starts to sticky mods and the mod goes inactive or dies... then gets removed, then becomes active a month later, asks to be re-stickied, then cycles off and on like that for a year.  Would just be annoying.
