After Sins of a Solar Empire, lets firm a new community.

As new games are coming out this year, I think by the end of the year Sins mulitplayer will be dead. As the community is very small, and have got to know each other quite well, I think that it is now time to create a forum board for the 121 players of the community, and form a new mulitplayer force which can spam over many games...

I have already proposed this too many players of DT, SB, BIA and DU, and they have agreed its a good idea. Some of the clan people alreayd suggest starcraft 2 when it comes out, but some people aint sure yet. Anyway, ill ask a member of bia (Flipkik hopefully) to set up a website or a forum page where all of us on multiplayer can meet up, discuss new games to move into etc.

BIA, DT, DU and SB will all be serparate clans, and i suppose many others would like to create new clans too, thats cool :), the forum page will be opened to all the multiplayer community, and offline members too.

if you guys thinks its a good idea, i will make it so.

I hate games with terran,protoss,zerg

Sins isn't typical RTS, that's why I like it. I suppose SC2 won't hit player counts that hard because it's different niche- typical fast paced RTS. It's sad that there are no new space strategies on the horizon... Does anyone know what Ironclad has been doing past 3 years?  No, i'm not going to believe in 2 mini expansions.

I bought the Starcraft Battlechest about two-and-a-half months ago and it didn't really do much for me. I thought the game moved too fast and I didn't like being able to only select 12 units at a time. I know that the experienced people play it at the fastest settings, which must be insane. However, it's a legendary game and people love it.

I used to play starcraft alot few years ago. The game it self is extremely simple. It's just all about who can click faster.

The game is REALLY balanced. Because there's no real counters.

But really, Even 8 year olds can play! yeah!

I used to play in school during programming class. Id finish my program and sit back and play it against others in the class. I got so good at Terran. That I literally had multiple bases across the map within 15 minutes of the start of the game. And people knew all hell was about to break loose because everyone would be alerted to me launching multiple nukes at once.

I played Star craft fun game but i would agree it is so simple to play and winner is decided through micro I think. i dont know if sins community will ddie though with diplo coming out soon.

Also I hope sins 2 is coming out in the slightly near future.

Woud be great to see you all in sc2..the sins  community rules.

PS: The 12 units selection isnt anymore in sc2 they have changed it now

How do you know there's 121 players?

Most players on sins know eachother if thats what you are asking and if you arent than explain the question more.

With Sins coming out with a second expansion and releasing the Trinity pack in stores, you should see the community grow. Even though it's been out for a while, it hasn't been given much exposure in terms of retail. (coming from mine and friend's across the continent's experience) So once it's out there and you can get it all in one go, I think people will start picking it up and trying it out.

Mind you a vast majority won't stay because they'll be kids that don't want to use their brains for a game, but hey we don't want them anyway.

sins already requires you to think. unlike other games you cant just spam one thing and win a battle you have to counter what your opponent does.

That's what I was implying...

you said a vast majorty wont stay that implies that they wont stay because they would have to think but as i said they already have to...

I only ever played Use Map Settings in Starcraft, and I got my CD key banned from the warden because I used the Multicommand hack.  Thats about the time I started playing sins...

If I dont have a limit on how many units I can command, that makes the game MUCH more appealing

What's wrong with this forum?

How long do you think Sins will last for (online) before other games come out?

It will depend of ICO performance.

If they can improve it to hold like 500 players online, remove MB and desynk whith  apeares to be connected problems, sins might survive long time

I would like to see Custom maps being played more often.

Single random maps are becoming extremely boring

If you read again, the topic I'm on is the "new players" that buy the game once the game becomes more available. Those are who the statement is implied towards.

If everyone would just get my map pack along with Darvin's compilation (just run both auto-installs) then it would be easier to play them.  Sadly, a number of people either have no interest at all in doing this and would prefer to play the same-old same-old not-so-random maps over and over and over and over...

Dirty Sanchez map pack auto-install

Darvin map pack auto-install--get Setup.exe

Yes.

This is why we need a map auto download feature in game. Like whats the point of the great galaxy forge program when you cant even download maps off players In-game.

If you say so but honestly it wont just be them other players might come back because of the trinity pack but as i said it will only last a bit not long.

I'm not going to be one to rain on any parade concerning maintaining friendships, but stating that there are 121 players in the 'community' (I just had to LOL at that one - how the hell did you even get that number??) and that the game is dead in 6 months isn't exactly helping anyone.  New players are coming on from Trinity and players are coming back with diplomacy.  If you want the multiplayer field to grow at all, in this maybe the last chance for sins (before sins 2 at least *fingers crossed*), getting all your buds together and convincing them (all 121) to truck over to a new game isn't going to help!

IMO.
