Updated Mini-mod 3.4 Uploaded to FileFront :) Sins 1.1 Compatible

Okie,  :)

                     Finally finished ironing out all the errors, small things i overlooked and should have checked for before uploading. I added the other remaining Capital abilities to Frigates and made them spawnable from the Advent Scout.

I turned up the cooldown time to 10 minutes, because i was re-spawning every 50 seconds, haha, in the course of a 5 minute battle i had over 16 each of the Capitals, :)  It was way nice, haha, but way overkill as well. So the re-tuning on the cooldown has made it more realistic, but still fun. The spawnable Capitals activate in combat, and are spawnable no matter where you are, on your home planet, or on an enemy world. Which makes it nice if you get in a jam and need the extra help. But hopefully not too much to overpower the game. The spawn ship is the advent scout, so start with it. Anything else is optional for you when you start. Other than the small tweak for the metal/crystal output everything else is the same.

 

Update!!  The version is up to 3.4 as of Dec 3, 2008, please download the latest version, it has corrections for errors and has more little tweaks, and features.  :)

Spamming Cap ships...is fun...but like you say overpowered!

My factory ships construct low-level frigates to simulate the 'on the fly' creation..nevertheless, I'm definitely taking this mod down with me and giving it a test run!

Soor, try the updated on, its Songs of a Crystal Sun, haha, new name as well, there are some small errors in the 3.1 that sometimes make it frustrating. Sorry, but it is flattering that you were looking for my mini.  :)

                  Get the updated one, 3.1 has some errors in it. I dont know why, but it does. Anyway, yes, a bit over-powered. But i like the way you did yours to spawn only after leveling and getting a new ability. That was brilliant, and i have worked so long with the frigates that it never occurred to me to drop the abilities into a capitalship. That was very good!!  Next we will have to figure out how to level frigates,  :)  Or how to go beyond 10 levels for the capitals.  :)  I think i saw an entry that specifies capitalship levels. The gameplayconstants.entity i think.  :)  Anyway, good to hear you, take care and keep modding!!   :)

Interesting! more than 10 levels on capships and levels on frigates!

I need both! Well not necessarily but cap ship stop at level 10 seems a little short when youre in high level games..so I was thinking of bringing it up to 20! and at twenty it would have a uber-ultimate-shutyoureyesbeforeitblowsup kind of ability! You know, kinda like the A-bomb on hiroshima only caused by one ship!

Frigate levels would also be extremely helpfull. Since I have utility ships, having them be upgradeable would make their bonuses more powerful and more interesting. (more valuable to save in case of attack).

 

BTW no problem, Ill take your mod down first thing in the morning tomorrow (whilst trying to get my mod operational)! A w8 we are morning..already alsmot 1am, damn...and I've got university today *slaps head* DOHHHH!

Ah well miracles of the human body..LONG LASTING BATTERIES!!

I'm glad you saved your mod from mini-dump scandal, i'm afraid i didnt quite make that with my last update, it worked for a bit, thought it was stable, then mini-dump. I think im trying to change too many variables and missed something, something small of course, like a " or a line too long that will only accept 15 characters or some such. A guess at this point because i dont know. But something was causing the mini-dumps.  :( Anyway, have started over, again.... :)  Haha, and am back at it slowly......  ssssslllllllll....ooooooo.....wwwwwwww....lllllll.....yyyyyyy..!!  :)
