How did you learn to mod and can you teach me the basics?

So I would really like to create a mod that focuses mostly on the planet/star/solar system part of the game, however I have no clue how to mod at all.  Now I know that might make many people say "screw it I don't feel like teaching him" but could you please please help lmao I catach on to things fast so if you posted a site that teaches the basics or something or post the basics yourself I would really appreciate it.  Thanks and whoever does help me kix so much ass lol :)

You can actually find the information you need on the sins website! Just go to the main page, click downloads, mods, and then look at the bottom for forge tools. it's got documentation for how to mod! Thats a good place to start I think.

just remember to use the reference (game) files that come with the mod package and not thoes in the original sins foldure.
