Liberals Attacking Palins Children

They always figure out how to snatch defeat from the arms of victory.  How the hell would anyone claim she didn't get proper prenatal care?  She had a baby in her 40s.  Anyone knows your chances of birth defects start going up after age 35.  She is pro life and walked the walk.  She probably got plenty of prenatal care but may have not bothered with scans that would show such a birth defect (as some other pro life women I know bypass) because it wouldn't effect her decision to have the baby or not.

What the hell do her children have to do with it anyway?!  If they are a factor, why aren't they saying anything about the fact that her son is deploying to Iraq?  I think having the president and VP both with their own loved ones at risk in the military would show that they aren't taking things lightly with our military.  If they thought it would be best for our troops, wouldn't they be ready to pull out as soon as they took office?

I'm really dissappointed in Colmes though.  I honestly thought he was above that sort of thing.  Guess not.

I have a child with a chromosomal defect and I was told by my doctor that this happened within hours of conception before I could even concievably have known that I was pregnant.  In other words, it's not the mothers fault.  No amount of prenatal care could undo it.  It is just something that happens as the chromosomes are splitting.  

you can always count on Liberals to take thwe lowest of the low roads, next we will hear how Palins teeth are bad because when she was a teenager she did not brush enough.

It also shows their ignorance.  DS is a genetic defect, and occurs when the child is conceived.  No prenatal care would have changed that.

It's a good point. I can't see liberal nutcases (i.e. bloggers) helping their candidates by banging on about this. The thing that they don't understand is, bloggers and overzealous supporters do more harm than good. Madonna disgraced herself, the Republican priest praying for rain during the Obama speech softened the Don Fowler blow, and now the liberals are blogging about Palin's family.

Her daughter didn't ask for media attention which should be focused on her mother. She's not done anything against the law. It's time this was dropped by media and long-standing blogs before it blows back at them.

Pregnant teen = family values?

AidanGriff you need to settle down and not take things as personal.  Of course sometimes it can get that way around here in specific instances from what I've gathered, but you just sort of attacked ID off the bat obviously without knowing his style and how he likes to get his points across.  I agree that liberals don't always like to get lumped together, but you must admit we tend to do that to the conservatives just as well.  I made a similar comment on another post recently about lumping all liberals/democrats into one big pile and how I don't like that practice, but I did so without the offensive language and all-caps frenzy.

On the subject at hand:  Personally, I don't care much about Palin's personal life unless it significantly alters the qualification of her character she and McCain put out for the public.  The issue with the pregnancies in her family aren't those types of cases; everyone has family issues they have to get through at one point or another.  There will also always be people out there to fabricate, smear, straight-out lie, slander...call it what you will.  Are we always going to freak out, or are we going to learn to just ignore?  I try not to put any stock in the desperate rantings of opinionated commentators or any of that he-said she-said gossip.
