Idea for a mod tool

I have an idea for a mod tool that the devs could make for us. (to VASTLY help the modding community)

Make a utility, that loads a mod, and loads a patch, and applies the patch to the mod.

of course, one problem it could create is that in "fixing" the mod, it could change it in a bad manner.

Could fix this by, if the patch say, increases trade ship hit points by two. And you run the utility, it will go through a series of "qeustions" like...

patch ----- increases the Tradeship hitpoints by two

Do you want this to take affect in your mod?

 

just a brainstorm, someone can take it and run, or forget it, IDK.

 

(could also make it work for maps too)

From my personal experiences are rather like "Everything automatic doesn't work" [ at least with programming/translation utilities ]. If the tool would prove to be flawless, it would be a great idea, but rather timeconsuming on dev's time. But their time is paid so, who knows ;)
