The Games Last Forever!

This is the first game, that has EVER kept my ass glued to a seat, watching little soldiers/ships run back and forth, and kept me entertained the entire three hours =)

Does anyone else feel that unlike other games, long games in this are incredibly fun?

Just got done as my first time as TEC, and managing mutliple fleets across huge worlds is a blast! (Well two fleets, one fleet was an OMG PIRATE fleet)

Three hours in this game is "short". :|

Three hours is indeed short. I've got a game I still haven't finished that's lasted well over 15 hours.

wait until you randomly generate a 5 sun map with 5 cluster with 4 randoms thrown in. Get a map with up to 300 planets... omfg.

royally pisses me off that the AI runs away all the damn time. Embargo needs to have a stacked increase to warp time so my fleet can pwn them. WTF (why in this case) does it take so bloody long for 20 kodiaks to catch a single rank 2 battleship; they aren't activating their damn Afterburners!!!

Galciv2..now that can take a long time. About a 20 hour game and I'm still not the dominate power.

With patch 1.04 I haven't had any problems with the AI running away, they'll stay and fight until they are severely out numbered.

Anyway, on topic. I just finished a 104 planet game with 6 or 7 Hard AI's and it took me about 7 hours. Games with less then a hundred planets probably take me on average 1-5 hours to complete. I have a map with 1502 planets, and if I were to even try to play that it would most definitely take me days or most likely weeks to finish it.

With most games if I play like an hour in and then save it and come back in a day or whatever I usually lose the incentive to keep playing and finish it. But with Sins I love finishing my games, its so addictive.

I just finished a 5 star map vs 9 AI (don't know how many planets, but it was well over 100). Took me 18 1/2 hours. I, too, have seldom been this addicted to a game. I've been up late for 4 nights running and I desperately need sleep. So, it's off to get some Z's.

And yeah, I didn't have a problem with the AI running away unless they were hopelessly outnumbered.

Same here, after a few 1 on 1 missions (easy) I started a random huge game vs 9 easy AI (still 1.03). It took me almost 24 hours to complete!!! It was exciting for the first part, but the mopping up took too long I think.

I am now playing heroes of might and magic V again to get rid of the spacy feel, hehehehe.

Now that I have 1.04, I will start playing against hard AI's.

My games tend to be much much shorter, but I'm glad people playing marathons are really into the game. It's hard to balance the game so that u can play it in an hour or 20 hours.

I just a game that took me three days, mostly because I had to work and do other stuff, all in all it took about 10 hrs of gameplay. But yes, this game keeps your attention and it really does infinite replay value.

I got Sins about a month ago so I'm still new. Yesterday I played as Advent for the first time in a ffa with three other easy armies on a medium map. Took me 7 hours, playing non-stop!

just finished a 5 hour 50 min ffa, unlocked teams against 7 computers in a single system, 50 planet random map. it's really easy to buy alliances against computers, but I like how you can't maintain all alliances into the late game because factions will always want you to attack one of your own allies eventually.

I can dig what you are saying fellow Sinner, I start even in the skirmishes and before you know it I am glued to the seat for hours in fact I just forgot to pick up my kid from school    so now I have been forced to use a timer and alarm.

I agree, right now i'm on the big planet game and I am 4 hours in. I just made a dent into my 2nd star system and I still have 3 more to go.

I figure roughly 20 hours to finish.

Next time everyone is medium no teams.

You medium-playing guys should try the game duration on Unlocked Hard. If you make the right decisions early enough to avoid getting stalemated or tromped, games can get ridiculously and deliciously long.

I was actually quite surprised at the way the game allows you to sit there for 4 hours and not want to get off. That's always been my problems with games like Counterstrike or Command and Conquer: after an hour or so I get bored.
