Bugs dont have ships? well no duh! they have bugs! just like the Zerg from starcraft! =) or could take ideas from the game Genesis Rising, most part of the game the ships that is of the humans are bio-genetic based, just view the pictures to get ideas -

bugs could have like specialized organic looking ships ..eggs carriers for colonizing
planets , kamikazee bug ships for massive damage ,etc ,use your imagination here..

Well I didn't meant ships, but I never saw any bug that floats in space.

Oh, and the TEC superweapon that shoots giant asteroids at insane distances!

But overall, I don't think there's enough richness in the world(book and movies combined) to make for one complete faction, let alone two or three.

The bugs should have tons of really cheap, not so great ships, w/ little sheilding, but that take up, say .25 supply. Presumably, though, the bugs do have a navy as there is a passage in the book where it talks about the sailors on the ships being constantly on alert. The problem, of course, is that Starship Troopers is primarily about ground - not space - combat.

In the book they were portrayed differently than in the movie. IN the book they were a space faring race. Somethings on the fed side were different as well. Great book and movie though.

Yeah, in the book they had ships. It's been a while, but I think they were missile based. Their space fleet was similar to their ground forces in that one human ship could take one bug ship, but there was never just one. Still, I always got the impression that the difference was smaller in space, but that the bug numerical advantage wasn't as big either. Of course, I could be entirely wrong about that.

If anyone has only seen the movie, you should take a look at the book just to see how incredibly different they are. For one thing, the bugs in the book had guns, not to mention the awesomeness that was powered armor.

True but depends if your thinking, film and CGI starship troopers or the books as it were, but sounds like a great idea.

If you look at the CGI tho, there's the use of transport bugs and plasma bugs firing from them i believe. so theres plenty of scope of things you could do.

Yeah i realise that, i'm simply saying depending on what you want to do, there is things out there you could use for ideas.

Imagination is all well and good, but a few exsisting ideas chucked into the think tank might help get a better overall picture and ideas, that's all i was saying.
