In the Homeworld series you could hold CTRL and draw a box around units you want shot at.
Example:
12 LRM
12 Disciples
I select 12 LRM.
I hold CTRL.
I draw a box over 4 Disciples.
Then the 12 LRM divide their fire so that each of the 4 Disciples get 3 LRMs shooting at them.
Given the mechanics of shield mitigation Band Box targeting would be great.
So, when are we getting Band Box Targeting?
