construction frigate question?

love this game but i have one question. if you have say 3 or 4 construction frigates for a colony but are only building 1 or 2 structures is it possible to have more than one frigate constructing the same structure at the same time?

they would construct it quicker together.

is this possible? if so, how?

if not, it should be.

thanks garrett

o and a question to do with this kinda thing, if i have 2 shipyards, does that mean i make 2 ships at a time, or 1 ships at half the speed?

The Advent (IIRC) have a research item that grants their constructors that ability. It does consume more resources to do so. I don't believe either of the other races have that option, though.

i don't think that's the same. you suggest 2 totally seperate facilities are building something, so they would stay seperate. i suggested 2 ships in the same gravity well working on the same structure. totally different.

1)building frigs do not stack. they just mean you can build more than one thing at the same time. It would be nice if they did though. this is a TEC building perspective though- the Advent have stacking construction frigs.

2)frig shipyard work in unison. That is, if you have 3 frig yards and you want to build 3 units they will all build at the same time. unison construction only work for shipyard in the same grav well- not all yards accross the star system. the same premise applies to cap yards, but generally you don't need more than 1 in any grav well.

Yep but you have to set every construction frig to auto cast it after you get the tech even news one don't do it by default it would be nice if after you get it you could make it be turned on of off globally.
