Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

  

 

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

so far there is no beta, and the final release is way off. We are in need of a full time texture artist to compliment the models and help with planet textures and what not... but until we find one, progress is slow

At a push i would say overall 15 / 20 % lol mainly due to the lack of textures, So if you can make textures, lightmaps etc with w/e program u have (eg photoshop or w/e) contact Eomega. As soon as we get more textures, the mod will progress faster, untill then the pace is slow.

problem with that is we cant decide which race to focus on first, plus when you focus on one race you tend to get burned out... atleast I do.

well in my opinion i would work on the Tau'ri first then move on to the wraith and then Asurans because the Asurans would be the hardest to do because of the city ship and the other ships of theirs are significantly more complex.also id concintr8 on one race at a time because for me it helps me to concintr8 on gettin it done and makes me not think its completely impossible :LOL:

there is still a problem with this right now, we dont have a full time texture artist currently, and I dont have much free time to model and texture a ship.

ohhhh ok i used to be able to texture but my old laptop was destroyed in a fire and i lost most of my programs...:(

I'm really glad some1 wants to put some energy in this mod.
Finnaly a game that plays in the Stargate realm!

Hey i just noticed while playing tonight that the phase missile swarm from the vassari desolator looks really like drones and moves like them too swarming in groups and moving to auto target you probably already noticed it though just putting in my two cents keep up the good work guys .

this feature is in the mod, that is why the Asurans are going to be taking the place of the Vassari. Thanks for the suggestion and everyone for the support.

Here is a bit of an update, I have been working on the Morpheus Class ship, and here is what I got so far, with a comparison to the Daedalus. Tell me what you all think.

it is basically a Destroyer/Support vessel. She will have Asgard Plasma Pulse weapons, like what was on the Beliskner Class ships. So in suite of that, you will have to do the research for the plasma weapons to gain access to the Morpheus.

I just wanted to say thank you.  Like the one post in here I bought the game for this mod. It may seem silly to do but the first time I saw the youtube videos of this mod I had to buy it lol. I look foward to playing it when its done, it looks Really good so far. Keep up the good work.

I've seen somewhere you wanted to add Stargates in the mod. How will that play out? You cant make small stargates (in orbit), no ships will fitt trough (perhaps the small ones, like puddle jumpers). Or will it be supergates, so you can travel from 1 star to the other (an other universe, so to speak)

Yes stargates are in the mod but so far only the asurans have them and they form part of the fighter defence / planatary attack weapons

if we can get supergates to work how we want them, then they could be added also but not all ships would fit thru them (only smaller ones certainly not capital ships)

Yes Stargates are in the mod, and right now we are looking at keeping them with the Asuran defense station, but we might also be giving the Asurans a type of Supergate, that will allow their units to travel faster to other planets with Supergates.

here is the model of the Pegasus gate we will be using. Mesh and texture are from Major A Payne

That sounds verry cool!

Perhaps an other idea: for stealing income from other planets under attack, you can instead dialing in to the home stargate of that planet. We wont see it, but we know that the gate is active and they cant escape :p

And for the superweapon, send a stargate to a planet so you can fire a direct laserbeam tru the stargate, as seen in First strike  :HOT:

We will have the super weapon for the asurans yes, and it will be quite powerful.

On another Asuran note, here is the new Aurora model built by Loki, it looks very nice, tell us what you think.

i dunno about everywere else but here in the uk the new series of Atlantis started last night, is there anything like that in the mod? as in some weapons have a chance of disabling key systems or is that restricted to ship abilities?
