New Race for 1.7?

In the thread for the realease of TA, someone had seemed disapponted that a new race wasnt on the table and a response to it suggestet there there were already enough. Anyway, instead of a whole new race, could the game be set up for a new AI generated custom race? That is a race where you dont know a thing aboput them that is created completely by the AI, including its superability. Which may even be used by another race in the same game.

If you set your opponents to random you may or maynot get this race. If you do, you won't know anything about them.

Is this doable, is it worth it? I just thought maybe a race that wasnt somewhat predictable would be cool.

Hmm good idea.

It'd be nice if we could add more AI's to a game too... but lol that might bring us up to the 2gb limit far too often/fast.

I think this is an excellent idea. It would definitely add an element of the unknown to games.

Also fits as Mega-event candidate.

I also like the suggestion that someone made about promoting a minor to major status part way through the game. Imagine the Akillians, with all their original abilities bonuses, plus all the stuff thats been traded to them or that they stole during that 'super-spy' event, deciding to become a 'playa' in about year 4.

Maybe, also a race that mirrors yours, whatever bonuses you take, it takes. So the better you make yours, the better you opponent will be. Like aphantom race or something. ok maybe now im pushing it.

Yeah I think random custom races are enough to start off with
