one of my Fences is non responsive

I have 7 different fences on my desktop .... recently updated Object Desktop ....

Now one, and only one, of my fences will open but none of the icons will open its respective program ..

CAN open as a folder and get to programs that way BUT ...

any ideas?? on how to fix this ... or should I try and make a whole new folder and repopulate???

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your issue.

  1. Windows version, you can use Windows own "Winver.exe" to get Windows full version numbers.
  2. Fences version installed.
  3. Is this a Normal Fence or a Portal Fences. If it a Portal Fences, is the link location on a network drive? If it a Normal Fences. If you Disable Fences and you click the same icons/shortcut on the desktop, does it open up that program/document/etc?

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: [link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

I did that, it wiped out all my existing fences but was able to rebuild them a LITTLE BETTER THAN BEFORE AND THEY WORK (sorry for caps, fat fingers)  so NOT the vistory I wanted BUT in the long run a better outcome than I wanted.
