How can I tell if a treaty is doing something?
Q: If I offer and sign a research treaty with someone, where can I look to see the 25% research benefits?

You only get 25% Benefit if they gave you the treaty. Not if you gave it to them. Its kind of a weird setup.
Ahh. That's nearly useless. You have to trade them the technology, then bribe them into initiating a treaty?
Yeah. Sucky tbh.
I would like to see something like combined research where multiple factions work on the same tech at the same time. You could select the same techs from either tree of who is involved. You could; even, give a new tech tree based on sharing a tech, how many factions share a tech, or tech trees based on both which factions, and how many types if faction trees. You wouldn't have to get this in depth it would be nice. I understand that researching certain techs would ptreclude others later, but trading should be doing this for balance anyways.
I've tried giving them the research to offer the treaty, but I have yet to see it as a trade option.
Ditto. They seem to value a trade agreement pretty highly, though, (a lot more than an open borders or non-aggression pact), so I can usually trade it for a few techs.
That's not what the in game popup says. It says both parties get a 25% benefit.
But maybe is more in line with what the wiki says, but IIRC IT says there is only a 5% benefit.
The code is a Reciever Modifier, no Modifier for the giver.
I know which made it very confusing early on. We've complained about it since launch but, they look at this as a minor bug so at this point it may or may not ever be re-clarified in the pop-up.
Its such an easy fix.......the GiverModifier is there just unused...
<xs:element name="GiverModifier" type="ModifierType" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/>
<xs:element name="ReceiverModifier" type="ModifierType" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/>
EDIT:
Meh, I'll make a mod for it, untill it is changed with Crusades I guess!
