Showing only warships that require resources?

When I have resources (durantium, etc), the starbase menu is only showing me the warships that require resources.  I'd like to see the options that don't require resources as well.  Any way to accomplish this?  Is this a bug in the latest version?

Once I run out of resources, then it shows me the ships that don't require resources.

It is possible that you are looking at collapsed versions of the lists.  If you have only one entry under missile ships, for example, try to click on the little carat mark to the right of the ship list name.  It should expand the list to show you resource dependent ships and other variations.  If you favor the non resource version, it will be there at the top of the whole shipyard list.

My assumption, and we all know what they say about assuming..., was that this is a feature. I think the developers wanted players to be more invested in using the resources and therefore created a new class of prototype ships that must be built first in order to have the "knowledge" to start cranking out the ships we were used to always having. I've found that once I build one of them the others appear and are able to be built. I could be talking out of my backside here but that's my theory. I'm sure someone in the know will correct me here if I'm totally off base.

Unfortunately that is not the case. . . the lists are fully expanded and just don't show the ships that don't require resources.

If this is a feature then I don't like it and hope they change it! The resources can be used for multiple other things like buildings, trading, and the bazaar so there's good reason to not want to use it on ships unnecessarily.

Ok I'm confused the shipyard has a plethoria of organizing features this should not be a problem in the shipyard. I looked at the statbase it doesn't have anything along any lines of what your talking about. both the ship designer and the shipyard sounds more along the lines of what your talking about. Except the sorting has for special ships, and a lot of pther ways to sort. I need clarification to understand this. Are you usinbg the current version.

It will occur if you have not researched any weapons tech yet except the tech that allows prototype weapons.

If I have researched Weapons Systems, then the only non resource weapon available is Lasers.  If I research any individual weapons tech, it adds non-resource weapons ships of that type to the list for that type.  If your game is not doing that, then you should consider submitting a ticket to Stardock and let them help you.

OK I'll take a look in more detail.  Could be that I didn't have the weapons researched. . . I'll check and post back.
