Where are templates for user designed ships stored?

Can anyone give me some directions on where to find the above? Or, is there a way that I'm not seeing of deleting them from the Designer itself? Thanks

Yeah, brutally annoying unlocking pulse cannons and ships in all previous games show up. Be warned that that is also where MOD ships are. So if you downloaded a ship mod and mass deleted that folder that ship is now gone.
