LH and 32-bit Windows 7

I've been running the beta on 32-bit Windows 7 with 3 GB of memory. I have been having a probably with the program running painfully slow. For example, the moving figures stutter from one position to the next. At first, I thought this was the result of the fact that I've got an older graphics card. However, sometimes it runs just fine. I tried a few things that didn't resolve the problem, and then I shut down the Windows update service. Bingo! That was it. The update service was using cycles that was slowing the game down. So, if a you have the same configuration and your game is moving painfully slow, you might want to turn off the Windows update service while you are playing. However, when you're finished, be sure to turn it back on or you might miss some important updates to your software.

Yeah, well unfortunately, you can't add more memory on 32-bit windows because it can't be addressed.

precisely why win-7 should never have been released as a 32-bit option.
