[Bug?] AI champions with multiple paths

Maybe this is intentional [if so, why?] but I have seen multiple AI champions getting multiple paths. This occasionally happened in vanilla FE, but I never saw more than 2 (heck, MY sovereign even got a 2nd path one time in FE!). 

But I regularly see AI champs and sovs with FOUR honkin' paths.

Is it intentional? If so, who is her self-help guru?

this should not be able to happen... if anyone has any info on where they have seen this (only on Sovereigns? only now and then? all the time? saved games?) it could be helpful

Every AI figure seems to have 2+ paths.  It's bugged once they come over to your side too in terms of not being able to see all of the paths they supposedly have.

I think I've seen every AI sovereign and champion have at least 2 paths (thus far in my 2 games of LH).
