Novalith cannon stopped working

No longer shooting and icon is gone

I have no idea what happened. I built my NC and it was auto firing fine for a while.

Then I had a specific target I wanted to hit so I went to turn off the auto firing. To my surprise I find the NC just sitting there at full power not doing anything I click on it and there is only a single icon  "Stop orders in progress".

 

 

What could have happened? Is it a bug or did something happen that I am unaware of that has (as it seems) permanently disabled it?

Did one of your military labs get destroyed? You must maintain the 8 labs needed to research Novaliths in order to use them.

NM. Just figured it out. I lost a Military Lab and it apparently disables it.
