Is there a way to lower the music volume on the Unit Detail page?

First I want to say what a great game, and I am happy to see an other worthy successor of Master of Magic besides Warlock Master of the Arcane. I will certainly spent a few hundred hours in the world of Elemental.

I just started to got into the game and so I regularly inspect with great interest the detail page of every new object or monster I encounter. Unfortunately everytime the detail page comes up it not only change the background music it also seems to play twice as loud. Is there a way to lower the volume of this music without turning off music completely? Actually I wouldn't mind to disable it completely, as it get annoying this constant music change when you inspect several items consecutively.

I agree on disabling it completely.  I find the music changes to be slightly annoying whenever you view a unit, or go into the research screen, etc.  It would be nice to have an option to disable it so the song plays from start to finish with no interruptions while you're in overland map mode.

It is a small detail, but I think music plays a big role in immersion. Once finishing the detail screen, it goes again with the background music. These interruptions when the details/research may be annoying to the point to disable all music and play my own music, but it is a pity, as the game has some beatifull songs. But when playing a good part, and I check details, music changes...

There are some simple things to help on this. I can think in:

- Introduce some fade in/fade out in the backgroundmusic, and or in the detail screen music.

- Reduce volume of the detail/research screen, as said OP

This is what I actually did found myself doing. Turning off the music. As I find myself still learning the game I tend to switch screen a lot. Inspecting every monster I meet, reading the blurbs and learning his abilities.

If it weren't for the this loud Altar theme relatively to the map theme music I could live with the constant music change when switching screens. Although I find this feature rather annoying and I think there not many games out there that have an individual music set for each screen. More like a individual set for each faction that is then played everywhere. Like Civilization, Alpha Centauri and others.
