Real life distractions from modding.

What's been keeping you from modding lately?

My story:

Besides the whole summer being monopolized with summer basketball tournaments on the weekend (all weekend!), I embarked on a quest to finally build a deck by our swimming pool. While not quite a 100% yet, I just installed the ladder and am ready for the 4th of July party we are having. I'll be finishing the remainder hopefully this weekend :D

I started this project about 4 weeks ago in my spare time and finally had the last Weekend to devote fully to the project.

I've also been playing Rebellion some online too when I get a chance :P

I've been working all summer...and three grandkids  Grrr.

It's 108 heat index--that pool looks nice.

Why no Rebellion logo on the bottom though?

For once, it does not seem to be hotter in Texas. :P

And I remember living next to a corn field once. Absolutely hated it.

That would be funny trying to explain.

Depression and lethargy exclusively.

X2 except that my stress is from mounting bills I can't pay and my lethargy is a symptom of a medical condition I've had my whole life.

Regardless, I still find time to do some of my work, I just don't get done as much as I should considering the amount of time I could be working on it.

But a sure way to get a free Rebellion CE I bet. ;)

I think Stardock and Ironclad should have a viral marketing contest and offer a reward to the most creative or unusual public promotion of Rebellion.

(<---copyrights idea...will sell copyright for one boxed CE set.)

I tried that depression and lethargy thing with my wife tonday to avoid going out in the heat.  I'm pretty sure she took a swing at me.

Well between studying for and getting my diploma, working interstate, testing out ES, I have been trying to do some stuff. All modeling and texturing, a lot of learning there, but I'm still struggling to get things how I want.

I'm pretty sure I have forgotten how to code.

Best of all worlds here in OZ, sun, rain, sun and rain, wind, calm, wind and calm. Haven't got a pool though(Nice Job there by the way ZombiesRus5), but I can just go jump in the ocean and have a swim with some whales. :seal:

sz0, when you swim just watch out for the great white sharks, blue ring octopii, box jellyfish, salties, coral snakes, stonefish and what ever ohter aquatics that are also posionous or EAT people.

Oh yeh! That's why its good to go with whales to scare off the noah's.

Reminds of me (a bit) of when my Aussie neighbour first encountered a nettle:-

All we after worry about down under are snakes, scorpions & spiders - here the b*&$#y plants sting you!

Getting back on topic, I wonder if silencedhawk has actually hit on something :- if you want to concentrate on modding, move to Blighty - the weather is so miserable it's not fit to do anything else! ;-)

It's hot as hell here in Canada and you couldn't pay me to step outside. I think I go outside maybe once every 5-6 months at most, and only to scare the kids off my lawn with my 12 gauge.

Exactly how I feel and I'm in Indiana..  I don't remember if we set it or not, but I know the last few days we were projected to have the driest june on record.  Not to mention it's just been incredibly hot.  120 in the sun the other day plus the 75% or so humidity.
