Did i heard anything about a ladder system for Rebellion?

will it actually happen? well, its not in the current beta that is for sure.

That, auto custom map downloading, and scenarios are what I think are the big features that aren't in the game yet (besides the Vasari obviously). Any one of them is a much needed improvement... all of them would certainly make this expansion well worth it.

Are they planning to allow auto-download for custom maps?  I haven't heard anything about plans to implement that, at least not recently.

They said they were going to do that. I might have to go back on my campaign pretty soon here though.

I think they said something like that, but it was a long time ago, before the Beta came out.

I think the auto-downloading of custom maps, scenarios akin to some of the campaigns in SW Empire at War, expanding the diversity of the game (more planet types, wonder structures, ship customization, etc...things that make the game less nearly identical to Trinity), and a map layout preview feature should all be higher priorities than a ladder system.

I'm not a competitive player. A ladder system is the last thing I would really care about. I actually think organized ladders and ranking systems are something detrimental to many games. They cause people to play for rank and points. It completely turned me off to several franchises including Starcraft. It's not fun to get hit with "cheese tactics" every single game.

Are the Scenarios not the different game types? thats what I had assumed or were those divided in whatever interview talked about them.

Why bother, no map relates to another, no tech carries over, no empire borders shift, nada.  Storyline is static and vague.

Yes, ladders were promised, but devs don't even acknowledge that any more.
