The eyes! OH GOD, THE EYES!!!!!

Hey folks!

Having lots of fun with 1.4 and the After the War Mods -- one issue I can't seem to fix -- none of the character models in the game have eyes!  The eye textures (or whatever) just don't show up.  Yeah, I can play, but it does creep me the heck out! 

I seem to remember this or something similar being an issue and getting fixed in an early beta release, but happened to me again when I installed latest version.  Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.  Have searched the forums and haven't been able to find anything pointing to a solution.

Am I the only one having this problem?  Hopefully not -- any advice / suggestions on a fix before their eyeless gazes drain my remaining sanity?

My merchants always look the worst.......yep this popped up for me about a year or so ago.   Talk was it was just in the Nivida G-Force 7 sereis.  One of several reasons for a new Christmas computer this year, I've a 7300GT.   I don't think any fixes were made on this end, but I could be wrong.   Someone else might know more..........actually mine have 4 half eyes  2 on the top and 2 on the bottom.

@dowdyhoody, your description nails it better than mine -- I'm seeing the same thing re: half eyes and merchants are definitely the worst!.  AND I have dual Nvidia 7800GTX cards running in SLI mode (tried turning off SLI mode to no avail...).  Just weird that it was working with all eyes in the propper place for so long.  Open to any suggestions short of updating my creaky, old rig...

 I don't think there is anything that can be done about it. Since no one else is talking about it it means only a few of us still have the problem.  I'm sure that FE will have the same graphics problems for the 7 series, maybe more.  My system will run it when it comes out, but barely.   Time to catch up with everyone else.

You should change the directory of this post to the support category and then repost it in the FE support once the FE beta begins in December. Any problems you have in WoM will most likely crop up in FE. You might get lucky and benefit from the new pixel shader 3 upgrades they have made, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

That was unfortunate.  What do you mean by that?  Was Reply #6 a reason for mirth, or a reason to feel sympathy?  I'm leaning towards the latter, but I may be wrong.  (It has happened before. <grin>)

Just build a new one, they're only 25 gildar in the After the War mod.

zymat, go to your c:\users\documents\my games\elemental and delete EVERYTHING there. Maybe that can help.

It's an expression I was making literal. Then HF made it gamical. There is also an expression, bought the farm, which means to die. I don't really get that one either, but it makes more sense than kicking a bucket.
