HELP Combining four Diplomacy 1.011 Mods HELP

Combining four Sins mods (combining GameInfo, Mesh, Texture, TextureAnim, String, and Window folders)

Alright,

I am hoping that Danman can help out with this or any other hardcore moders. First off i respect the moders who created Maelstrom R3, Stars 1.2, SinsPlus, and Sins Alliance Hidden Agenda. I am not trying to take any credit what so ever for there creations or the resulting creation that i hope to make by combining these three amazing mods together. I have been trying for some time now trying to combine these mods but have had no success at all. My objective is:

To create a "Supermod" that has the following:

-Pretty much everything from Maelstrom (Factions and Dreadnought capabilities)

-Planetary Bonuses from Sins Plus

-Planets, Stars from Stars 1.2

-Capital Ships from Alliance Agenda

 

What i need help on. EVERYTHING

Ive downloaded Harpos manifest maker, and i know how to use it. I need a free version of sobosoft's "deleting duplicate strings" editor so that combining the String files becomes 500 billion times easier, I downloaded Wintersofts program to edit and hopefully combine .window files and i dont know how to use it. Im completely lost when it comes to editing the .brushes files and adding unit icons from Maelstrom and Alliance together into one, along with the planetary 2d icons. Now what i have accomplished so far is:

-Copied and pasted all files (GameInfo, Mesh, Texture, TextureAnim, String, and Window folders) from each mod into one set up. Organized GameInfo, Edited GalaxySenarioDef (to include new planets) and well.... thats really it. Mesh files dont need to me messed with too much. Texture animation folder can be left alone, im to intimidated to go into the String files yet cause when your trying to hunt down each string name, (when each moder names differently) and you see the counts are both well over 5000 just ya. sobosofts program seems to be the perfect one and i was wondering if anyone could find a simular FREE program like it cause that would be a huge help.

What i need help with most now and is where im completely lost is the Window folder. I have no idea how to open, combine, or edit these files and i need help. Same goes with some of the texture files that are incorporated with the Window set up.

 

Im well aware that Maelstrom pushes sins abilitys to the ledge but ive patched mine to go well beyond and handle it. I just need the resources anyone else has to help me with this. Any replies will be greatly appreciated and credited in the end if this works.

Actually... I think that they might still work, but you are going to have some serious problems with several things that you have already mentioned.

The mod that you are trying to make is going to have to be for your personal use unless you ask permission from each party involved.

 

Probably the biggest problem that you are going to have is that .brush, .window files wont allow you to combine the icon palettes very easily, in fact, combining them should be a big mess.

The easiest solution that I can think of would be to rename the modified palettes, and to combine the .brush and .window files that reference them, obviously changing the file linker to point at the correct filenames in every single icon reference, and then sitting through the debugging as you try to make sure that there are no matching references in the .entity files.

Hopefully this is some help. I am also hoping that there is an easier way to do the icon palettes.

You do not have to mess with the textures of the meshes, or the meshes themselves.
