Galaxy Forge Download and Usage!

So I've never successfully used the Galaxy Forge since I've owned the game which has been probably a year now.  I have never really put much effort into it but I really want to use it cause I'm not quite fond of the premade maps and the ingame editor leaves much to be desired. 

So I can't use forge or get player made maps to download right.  I always put them in the galaxy folder btw.  Now I can't even download the galaxy forge.  It opens in adobe for some reason and then tells me adobe can't read it as if I don't already know this lol.  So here's what I'd like someone to answer and help me with, 1) how can I download the galaxy forge and have it actually open (not download as an adobe file) 2) how to get the forge maps to work (be more detailed than just put them in the galaxy folder) and 3) how to get player made maps to work (same as two, I put them in the folder but they do not appear in the map lists in game).

Maybe someone could tell me the program I could use to open the forge tools download? It doesn't download as a folder so i cant extract files, it downloads as an individual file! THIS IS SO FRIGGIN FRUSTRATING lol

For one I'd just reset your entire computer cause something in it sounds messed up.

You could have a virus or a corrupted windows or adobe update but a real likely culprit though is that your hard drive is over 90% full...especially if you are running windows. if you can delete some files (I don't know your hard drive size) it may fix the issue.  If you are having obvious malware symptoms on a big scale it can also make these issues.

If you mean you can't open the .rar file it downloads as, you need a better extractor program (not just winzip) like 7zip or Winrar. As for where you are supposed to put them, you need to put them into the GalaxyForge (not the galaxy folder the other maps are in) folder that is located in the same folder as your mod folder (if you don't know where that is, go to the mods tab in the main menu options and hit the find mod path button. Its in the folder right above the one it gives you). If you get the maps in the right place, just keep changing the map type button until you get to the Galaxy forge section (right before the small map section).
