Ships going way out of gravity wells

Whats this due to ?

My ships are heading out WAY out of their planets gravity wells. It started when a pirate raid came, and the pirates flew off out of a star bases way. It then started going into a phase lane and after a few minutes, it seemed like the pirates were in a phase lane but they were actually travelling way out of a planets gravity wells into plain ole dark space. Anyone knows whats happening or whats this caused by? I think its due to the radius of a system star. Mines 200 while a normal one is 100.

Funny thing is, only the cpu does that and i cannot move my units into dark space, but they can actually go by themselves into dark space.

This has been know to happen sometimes, even in Vanilla Sins. Not sure what causes it in most cases, and I've never seen it happen with pirate raids.

I've seen it happen, but only rarely and minorly, with my own units on their own movements.

A gentleman said it could possibly be because ships with fighters don't have Hangar hardpoints. None of my new ships do, and it wouldn't be unusual to see a bunch of fighters chasing each other deep into the galaxy, followed by all of the related fleets.

^That generally effects fighters being spawned far outside grav wells.

Ships that fly way out of the grav well on thier own is generally caused by fighter movement. Ships using fighter movement want to create a set distance between them and thier enemy before they'll turn around to attack. When a ship is being chased it can't create the needed distance to attack so it just keeps flying straight forever.

However, with this issue that doesn't seem to be the case. The grav well radius could be a source, but many mods have used expanded grav wells so it doesn't seem very likely. What version of sins are you using, Shuazoid?

if i remember correctly, and dont hold be to this, its been a LONG time since i modded sins, they are going verticle and not out of the gav well (although it appears like this due to how the view is). it least thats a few problems i use to have.
