FrenzyMax and Sharinganx3 exploit erebus on Crucible. Still possible?

When these two lovely children start losing they resort to batswarming over the chasm into our base on Crucible. BTW I thought this was fixed in a previous patch. DO NOT PLAY with FrenzyMax and Sharinganx3. Losers/griefers/all around A-holes. Also, switched character to erebus last second before match started. Usually not a problem, but it reminded me of pre-nerf erebus bullshit, I should have known it was a bad sign. Obviously set up for the exploit. It didn't happen once before it was obvious they were losing, clearly signifying they knew it was a last resort exploit. Also, premade without warning, but we knew it going in.

If we're talking about more towers, then why does Cat not have at LEAST the two on either side of the portal like every other map has.

And on that note, why dont archer towers spawn on the sides?

(Ahem) Sorry, know that was off topic.

I don't believe it but I actually disagree with Pacov on something Demigod.

Pacov-"I personally don't have any problem with this mechanic and have to think that perhaps the developers had it in mind."

I believe if the designers had this in mind for Erebus, Regulus would be able to fly over the gaps with wings of fury, and generals and assassins would be able to buy Cloak of Night.  I also believe that long trek into battle, and even longer trek to the gold flag were not meant to be circumvented by 1 general's ability.  Unless, there could be a sneaky, Erebus-loving programmer who got this done at deadline time.  A question for the Froggy one i guess.

Today played against systemscrash he lost at the end of the match included torrent download porn or something and then it went ping about 500 ms, and the game became impossible due to lag, I promised that I will post on the forum, to which he replied "I just change your nickname". Do promise.

This exact thing happened to my game with Systemscrash! When it was obvious his team was losing, we were closing in on his base with a 2 war score lead, priests and all 4 demis, The game went into convulsions and became unplayable. When I asked the opposing team to concede so we could rematch, chat still worked fine btw, they all conceded without hesitation. Except for systemscrash, who never responded again. After about 5 minutes my team conceded in frustration. Systemscrash got the win.

Please post Systemscrash stories here if you have them.

I played against Systemscrash just fine last night.  No crashes, no lag, and it was even a pretty good game.

YMMV, but he seemed alright to me.

Its quite ok to disagree with me.  :)  It could very well be that the developers missed this completely, but it seems like a pretty gaping oversight (especially with erebus and level 2 batswarm).  It is a question for Frogboy, but I don't one that will get answered.

I can tell you this was reported in multiple betas before release and word came back from the devs that it was working as intended, every time.

well then... there u go.

Well that proves what the developers were thinking. But given the development and QA history of this game can we really trust that they cared at all about the balancing issues this created? The fact remains that this mechanic, intended or not, still breaks the balance of this map. And that reduces the number of playable maps.

Wow, i knew i shouldn't have disagreed with Pacov.  I agree with Spongematt that it really breaks the balance of Crucible (and to a much lesser extent, Exile).  I guess I disagree with the judgement of the programmers then.

On the other hand, a Crucible game with Erebus/Oak (cloak of night) teams in a mirror match sounds like a blast.  Gonna have to try that one out.
