DA is not for competitive play. He has no staying power because he has no hp and no get away tactics. He only is good early game when characters don't have 4k hp when that number is eclipsed his usefulness runs out.

DA is good in a team with 2 tier1 DG's when all 3 know how to play. Yes 1v1 he may not be much use vs a general, but 1v1 is pointless anyway. In a 2v2 or 3v3 fight DA is godly useful to have on your team. At one point it used to be reg that got in the final shot on the runners, now its DA and he's much more effective at it. AND he's got warp area which is a 3 sec immunity to dmg when he feels like he is about to get bursted (ala rook hammer, or an ereb thats just arrived and is closing to melee range together with oak).

I say DA good. Granted having ub/oak/ereb on the other team will be tough if you replace any of those with DA in your own team, but thats true for any DG replacement.

I agree.  And in the hands of someone competent, as long as he HAS SWAP, he's viable.  But imo he's like rook or qot in the respect that good ones are and will continue to be hard to find. 

P.S. Who wants to play Ere UB Oak mirrors all day anyway?  I would rather lose with variety, and have fun, than be bored and win with the same strong demis every time...

I dont belief you watched this replay yourself oO. FourKingHigh has  no idea how to play DA and he played like a big noob here.

 

Play Reg and let him do an infight against UB, then say reg is useless^^. FourKing wasnt even running when he was close to die. He didnt even tried to use his advantage of runspeed oO. Thats just noobplay.

Also i dont belief DA needs speed. Not in the beginning. As someone mentioned before, he needs a lot of Mana and a litle hp.
I play him like Erebus, buy alot of mana items and some additional HP, banded armor is enough.

If i play DA soon again, i will give you the replay if you want.
