that I haven't purchased or even been tempted to purchase any favor items other the Swift Anklets and Blood of The Fallen.
I feel like something is missing in my life.
I've purchased heaven's wrath which is very useful. Same with horn of battle. You can maybe come up with 4 or 5 worthwhile favor items. But yes some of them just aren't attractive enough.
You really should start experimenting with different favor items in different builds. You'd be surprised how much better some of the other ones work in certain situations. I used to only get swift anklet and blood of the fallen too but when I started improving I noticed that I didn't need that extra run speed or HP as much as some cool side effect like free mana or % evasion.
I use both BotF and BotS in my Reg builds. Both are very handy...sometimes i may use Heavens Wrath too...especially on Zik. I love BotF with UB, relly good on prison, he is such a tank early on.
With QoT i have been using Staff of the Warmage. The extra mana is very useful early game, especially when combined with the Vlemish.
I really like the Blood Soaked Wand with Sedna....That 1000HP early game for no mana costs can be crucial, to you and your team mates. Admittedly, it's not so great late game.
I don't even use the Swift Ank really anymore, unless using Rook.
Cloak of night?
Blade of serpent?
Teleport amulet?
Staff of renewal?
Symbol of purity?

i would only use BoF for UB. For any other DG there are far better favor items. And in fact it additionally highly depends on build, playstyle and map!

You have motivated me to look at some other favor items. Off I go.....
Wings of the Seraphim for Oak - its a free small heart of life but it doesn't heal mana, 200HP/s for 10 sec for you and your ally DGs (2000HP) every 45sec. Fantastic for early push builds 
Staff of Renewal is kickass. The only other things in the game that are comparable are a Celerity Flag and a nearby allied Sedna with Magnificent Presence, and Staff is still better because it gives a larger cooldown reduction and is always available. It's one of the few favor items with an effect you absolutely cannot obtain at the item shop.
And if you play the generals it's worth checking out the Diamond Pendant. It's only half as good but does the same thing. I'd pick Cloak of the Night over that any day though.
Also take a look at Essence of Magic. It's not great for everyone but certain builds can benefit a ton from it, e.g. a Spit UB, or an Ice TB that wants to make use of the Shatter combo a lot.
