Well, I figured I ought to get entrenchment, but does Impulse allow for debit cards? I don't have paypal, nor do I own a credit card. For this reason, I tried using my debit card, but it does not seem to want to accept it. I'm curious if Impulse just flat out will not accept them or if I'm missing something...
I think you're missing something. I bought both Vanillia Sins and Entrenchment off impulse using my Visa debit card. I suppose it might be a problem with your particular debit card, i.e., it doesn't accept that particular type of card.
You've checked to be sure you're putting in the number and the pin number correctly, right?
Why not just get a paypal account which you can transfer a balance and then buy entrenchment with paypal... that is what I did although, it took me more than a week to get it done
It would have to be one of those debit cards that acts also as a credit card. My bank for example issues Visa Debit cards. Works wherever they take Visa, and takes the money straight from my checking acct.
Well, the card itself has a balance on it. I guess the best way to think of it is as an omni-gift card... It is a prepaid visa debit card that is non-reloadable. Perhaps this is the reason, but a friend of mine who has exactly the same type of thing which he successfully used on bay, so I figured I could use it on Impulse...
If it says Visa, and you have enough on the card for the purchase, you should be able to use it.
Well, at this point, I'm assuming the problem is the name field. Seeing as how this was bought at a store and not ordered, it does not have my name on it. The closest thing I can find is, "MALL GIFTCARD CUSTOMER." It is through US Bank, if that helps at all...
well, what did it say when Impulse declined the card? like, not accepted? not understood?
if all else fails... is it possible to get a friend or family to buy it for you and give them a $10 note in return?

That tends to be difficult for me... Paren'ts hate buying stuff online (as they were victims of identity theft a couple years back. We got all the money back though and he went to jail, but still...) and my brother won't buy me anything. He has paypal, but I think the last time he bought me something was about eight years ago...

If you have a debit card, you will be able to use pay-pal...
Myself, i use my own bank account for send amount of money to pay-pal... need around 3 working day for they receive it...
Only back side, since you don't use a credit card is the transaction limit who is only 1500 euro year...
For info, i am located in Belgium and the pay pal account is in Antwerpen... Each European country have a local account so you don't need to use european wire banking system... local one work perfectly...
About bank to bank, don't worry about identity thief... ofwell, you go to your bank agency for make the payment, ofwell you use online banking ( who need a special calculator who use a challenge, your bank account number and your pin code ) where nobody can retrieve your identity... have try online bank account secure with finger print but forget it... afinger a little dirty, with a cut or other problem and you cannot log !!!
I'm not the concerned one, that would be my parents... They were the ones whose computer got a keylogger on it.
