alright total newbie here, would like to play with a group of people and see how it goes. let me know
my best advice to you is to create a game titled "new players only" or anything like that. It will give you the oppourtunity to learn with people at your skill lvl. Then when you get the bacics down you can play with more people and learn advanced stratagies. There isnt really a clan that would be good for you to play with because the 3 main online clans could cream almost anyone skilled or not. i would recommend starting at the bottom then working your way to the top and maybe joining a clan when you have become a master of the art of sinning.

Since you're new, don't worry about asking vets for some tips. Most of us are happy to indoctrinate the newer players and help them get better quicker. Don't be too intimidated by how your first few games go. You're going to see the pace is much much faster than single player and that you need to learn what ship types are good and which ones suck.
