Change the magical coin purse

I like the magical coin purse, but for one thing, the resale on items is reduced as well. It would be much better if you got back the resale as if the item were purchased normally.

Agreed.

But all Favor items need a major overhaul since many are too weak while others are way too strong e.g.Serpent Blade, , Ioncannon :P

And the restrictions for Assasins vs Genrals seem quite pointless.

Serpent's blade is about the only way that Torchbearer is playable though

Beeing a regular TB Player I have to disagree wholeheartly!

As fire TB 1 vlamish guard is the only thing you need for mana reg.

And as ice TB you just save up for HoL.

I disagree with you some vivid, I think there should be a difference between what is avaiable for generals and what is available for assasins.

Yeah differences in favor items help further differentiate their playing styles... except when everyone gets the anklet.

We need demigod-specific favor items!!!  Erebus needs an item that increases bite damage. :')

Thats called pre nerf

Erebus needs no buff to his bite. He's only the second most OP character.

I'll be damn honest, I don't see how anyone plays any class with only a Vlemish faceguard. I hear it all the time "Vlemish Faceguard is so op, it is the only mana items you need!" I have played TB and Regulus extensivlely online as well as most the other classes extensivly offline and I don't see how that is possible. Most heros (with maybe the exception of Oak) are so mana intensive, I end up needing atleast two mana items if not for favor items.

I think a lot of people tend to over use their mana abilities. TB's who like to ice down waves of creeps a little TOO much, and don't know to swap between forms to keep their mana up, Rooks who hammer slam grunts, Erebus' who like to mist while building an army, etc etc.

The more you play, the more you tend to release your mana abilities in bursts, while conserving it otherwise.

.... Or maybe people just play on Leviathan too often.

I compeltely disagree, abilities are there to be used. It accelerates your growth and the progress of your army. I have played a lot of games, and my experiance seems to be more abilities = better.

They really mean "I use Vlemish until I get the HoL"

Nah, I agree with Zechnophobe.  You *can* dump more mana than the Vlemish helm gives you, but efficiency is a skill you you develop like many others.  Spamming skills can work for some builds (and I can see how you might feel that way playing TB), but a lot of the time you're better off waiting for the right opportunity to pop that boulder roll/hammer, or batswarm/bite rather than vomiting skills as fast as they cooldown.  A lot of times the vlemish helm is enough mana to spam one thing (rook towers, bramble shield, whatever) while leaving a good mana pool for bursting your other skills at the right opportunity.

I used to play TB as my maincharacter in beta and after release and I only used HoL after beeing beaten by heavy abuse of that item :P

But after years of dota gameplay it's normal to conserve mana for me. And of course that is only possible with a fire TB. The usefulness of ice shrinks with little mana reg.

Edit: Just curious: Did you played Dota themadmanazn?
