Is there toggle for Ship health bars always on?

Holding down ALT shows ship health bars.

Could someone please let me know if there a way to always show ship health bars without having to hold down ALT?

(I looked for in-game optins and must've missed it if it's there, and I google searched, but didn't find anything).

Tia for the help :)

I believe there is a option in the menu for this. Interface or something.

Hrmm, thanks.

I checked under Menu-  User interface.

Of all the options- I didn't see one that would work.

One colums has Show Names, Tactical Grid, Cargo Ship icons, infocards, Gravity Well, Phase lanes, Icons, Mesh Ownership icon

The other column has Empire Tree/Pinning, and Camera options.

Does anyone else have an exact location of the option to toggle on the ship health bars?

Thanks,

DH

Wow you people have so limited minds, I would suggest checking the folder in the:

xp:

c:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Settings\uimappings.setting

vista:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting\uimappings.setting

or probably the settings.setting or there is no way to do it

Hey thanks for the suggestion.  Is your ability to test your idea as limited as our minds?  If so, I'll give this a whirl when I get home later today!

If thou art speaking to me lord_Zath , then may all have my sincere apoligies...But tape , it works(apply tape after starting a game)

And mooster , my fear it is that upon testing your idea you will not eat your last seven words but perhaps a sandwich.

well if you failed to do it, just delete the file and then restart the game, it will automactically recreate the file with the default settings. But the thing is, it is a shame that they don't have the developer.exe that works with 1.02 or 1.16

I opened the files you suggested, Mooster, but the only thing I could find was "show all bars" and it referenced a keyboard ID.  There didn't seem to be a way to set it to a certain key (unless I knew the ID) and set it to toggle on/off.  So even if I did reassign the key, my guess is I'd still need to hold the button down.

Looks like tape is the official winner!

well you could limit your search to the ones with isAltDown True and then tinker around there
