50% off second copy?

I'd simply like to know where/when/how we actually get these 50% off coupons..

I'm hoping its not on the same timeline as we get smooth problem free multiplayer cus I was expecting that a few weeks ago.

Waiting for a coupon kind of stinks...

I rather it be a coupon I can give to someone else.  It doesn't do me any good to spend my money on another copy, rather hand the discount off to a buddy or something that is interested in the game.  Or use the coupon to upgrade my copy and get a pretty figurine

My brother indicated wanting to do this but I said no based on Stardock's work ethic and it being a bad thing to do.  The last two nights I've spent several (3-4) hours trying to organize a 3v3 game between us and a friend, and we've managed to get 2 games running.  The frustration and time wasted is making me rethink this.  Maybe the game is only really worth half price to me.  I'm gonna give it more thought.

Except that the same people you'll need to ask for the refund will have the sales records.

Are we preorder ppl getting said discount as well? I kinda want to buy another copy for my brother's bday May 18.

I'd like the coupon asap so I can pick up a copy for my friend, end of may might be too long too wait

Yeah seriously.  What is the word on this?  I have had a friend waiting anxiously to play since the announcement.  I really want to increase the population of demigod'rs!!!

I emailed sales@stardock.com this morning asking when we would get more info. I'll try to remember to post here if I hear anything soon.

Has it occurred to anyone that we may need to wait until May 10th so they can see who bought what, before they give out coupons? They still want the support of the community before they start slashing the prices in half, as one coupon per retail purchase is assumedly the limit.

So...hold off on the complaints until May 11th.

Well, they want to wait till the MP connectivity is sorted before throwing the 50% of coupons out there. Add to that you only get a full refund if the game doesnt work for you and almost no one will be able to "return the first copy."

Unless you ask for a refund after getting the coupon, and once you refunded... buy the game again, for half off.

They would have the record of you getting a refund. I would imagine that would void your coupon.

We have not yet determined how we will be implementing the coupon that Brad has planned. It will most likely be in an email that will automatically be sent to you sometime soon.

You will want to keep an eye on Brad's updates as he is the one who will ultimately decide how the coupon will be distributed.

If it was possible to get a coupon that made it easy to get a 50% off copy through retail, that would be very nice. Then perhaps I could get one of my friends to buy it.

I'm wondering if there is a requirement to have the game registered on Impulse before May 10th, as my copy may still be in transit when that deadline hits. 

Did you buy it from SD or some other online shop like Amazon?

I bought it from Amazon.com. I just heard back from support that coupons are going out towards the end of the week, so I should be good. If not I'll contact support again.
