Want to create a Sins fansite, need help

Hello all, Im an IT professional with solid IT expirence, but only with netowrking, Im a terrible web master and I would like to startup a fansite that would be updated reguarly but would like some assistance in making a good looking, stable and secure website. If someone is willing to help or reccomened a good website that offers website and design that would rock.

 

I want to get the community as invovled as possible to make sure its a sucessful page.

There aren't that much things to post on it. Sins isn't like Diablo or something like that. But it is a viable thing to do.

Would I would like to see there, if people register, they could post albums of sins photos, share them, each person have a blog or something like that.

Just out of curiosity, what would a fan site do that the forums don't?

I'm not trying to be a downer or anything.  I'm just wondering what the difference would be.

Easier to use and read forums, more dynamic when it comes to changes, a 3d model viewer for the ships, showing the stats of said ships and also the affect the techs have on those ships.

Ah, okay.  I definitely like the last part with the ship stats.  Would you include star bases too?

I wish I could help, but I can't really do anything with computers other than point and click.:P    I'm more than willing to give what feed-back I can, though.

Sins fan sites have been tried before and seem to fail.  The problem is that there aren't enough people playing the game in online multiplayer to support another discussion forum besides this one.
