pirate base problem with phase stabilisers

I captured a pirate base, found a artifact on it. I built one phase stabilizer there, then ordered my fleet to 'use it' to go to another phase stabiliser some distance away.. like, the usual thing.

But it appear the phase stabilisers dont work on pirates bases, my fleet act as if it isnt there and they take the longer way around to the nearest phase stabiliser to reach their destination.

A bug i guess.

Someone else noticed this?

Are you sure it was completed before you gave them the order to move?

Yes it was built.

I re-loaded my game then invaded again, then rebuilt the PS. It is completed, and not working again.. definitively something need fixing here..

Phase Stabilizers seem to take some time after completion before your ships actually consider them usable.

I've never had that problem.  The ships use them as soon as they are done building.  I am in a SP game and close to being able to take out the pirates.  I will try this in my game (v1.12) and see if I get the results or not.  Will post on here and let you know.  Might be a week or two though.

There used to be (maybe still is) a bug where new colonies had to wait a while until phase gates built on them would register as usable. It only affected the newly-colonized planets, and building them on the old colonies worked fine. I wasn't the one who did testing on it, but I believe the guy who did said it was about 10-15 minutes until a phase stab on the new colony would start working (or earlier if you build it and then colonize something new, AFAIK).

Was quite a strange bug, but it was pre-1.1 and I know he emailed the save to IC to look at, I am not sure if it's been fixed in 1.1 or Entrenchment.

I only had this problem with a pirate base but I only also paid attention to them but annatar's info sounds interesting and it might be that.  It did come online after a while but I don't remember how long it took to work.

I had that problem too. I wanted to skip the sun and jump to another planet, and I thought I'd be smart and build a phase stabalizer.  No such luck.

It may have started working later, but of course I didn't need it then.

okay i tried it; btw i have the latest version 1.12.

on pirate bases, it takes a while (5-10 minutes) for the phase stabiliser, once built, to be used by ships as a long-jumping point. Now.. this is annoying..

I hope they fix this.

Once built it is used as a destination almost on the spot (traders were quick to get there, but had to jump with normal jumps after for a while)

How does one use the phase stabilizers?  Can they only be used within a solar system?  I'm playing 'Derelict' and have a stabilizer in the two end solar systems.  Does one click on the destination stabilizer to get the fleet to move?  Perplexing & frustrating.

They only work within a system. You still have to jump from star to star to get between systems.

Give normal movement orders, and ships will use them automatically.

Yeah - I've noticed this before - they take a while to engage once built
