Sins 1.1 from Stardock Central?

Am I going to be able to download Sins 1.1 off Stardock Central?  I'm only seeing 1.05.082.

 

Or am I going to have to install yet another program (Impulse) to get the patch?

The update needs Impulse.  BUT!!!  You can now uninstall SDC so you don't have to install an ADDITIONAL program.  You are breaking even!  :)

 

It's a good system and the update is worth it.

The latest versions of GC2 are also Impulse-only.

You'll have to forgive me for not keeping up with the times.  If I install Impulse, does it replace SDC?

 

i.e. can I redownload GalCiv II & Sins from Impulse?  I have a disc copy of Sins, but not GalCiv II.

Yes, Impulse replaces SDC. Since Impulse launched around the end of June, SDC has stopped being updated with the new stuff. It has much the same functionality as the old SDC so you can re-download your games, and your registrations (which are tied to your Stardock account) will not be affected in any way in the switch.
