The Obama Facade is Obama's political opinions. He is the most liberal senator, he has the least experience possible to get far, he has never made an important decision, and, more importantly, he tries to hide his position. He abstains from voting to try to win opinions. He avoids controversy, though he still has more than he can handle. He insists that people "respect" him and his wife, while, to tell you the truth, he can't even take simple name-calling that's been in every political race since heaven-knows-when. So, I ask you, what are the reasons to vote for Obama?

I have to say Obama scares me.  Really really scares me.

I've never ever said that before about a political candidate.

I can't believe what some deem as an empty suit has made it this far unless there's some sinister matter behind all this.  I believe there is more than meets the eye here.

Not to mention the fact that he looks like urkle and alfred e. neuman's love child.  - couldn't resist, I read it on a blog  ;)

I love how he disses McCain for being Big Oil with Bush when Obama is the one who actually voted for the 2005 Bush energy bill NOT McCain.  Say what you want about McCain but he is his own man.  That's the reason that a lot of Republicans don't like him.

*rolls eyes so much they fall out and roll away*

Ugh, be right back a second. *Runs off to get them, comes back couple minutes later*

Right, as I was going to say: The obama is the anti-christ (or anything close to it) is paranoia.

That's it.

As for the question, Obama is just another politician that was in the right place at the right time. From 2000, Hillary was annointed. Yet her negatives always hovered around 50% which made being elected almost impossible. Savvy democrats (before the messiah complex took over) wanted someone who could win - and Obama emerged as the only viable alternative. He is a creation of the media, but his ambition is the same as any other politician seeking the office.

Nothing sinister about it. The DNC nominee for president is traditionally the candidate chosen by the press. This year is no different.

I don't think so. He's just the popular kid on the block. And when has the popular kid been the best in class? Rarely.

I'm not so sure. Does the popular kid on the block get support from Hamas? Does the popular kid on the block sell himself as the next great hope of the world? Forget just the United States. He's selling himself as a Christian Muslim reaching out to the Jews and Arabs. My money says watch him carefully.

I'm planning on watching him cry on Nov. 2nd.

Yes, McCain does diplomacy. Obama does overseas campaigning.

its the same thing, its just that you like to look at it differently because McCain is your choice.  I mean when McCain went to Iraq he had a huge contingent following him and he was meeting people and campaigning.  Same thing.  It just that more foreigners like him...hmmm maybe it would be nice to have a president that is liked and respected in the world again....maybe we can get something done in diplomacy...just a thought

when I say like him I am refering to Obama, and him drawing the big crowds

Ah, yes, but there's a difference between opening with rock bands and meeting with leaders.

Leaders and people around the world "respected" Prs. Clinton, but what did it cost us? When did that "respect" translate to anything real? It didn't help keep Hussein from being rewared for breaking the ceasefire agreement. It didn't prevent Clinton from selling secrets and lifting bans on the sell of sensitive weapon systems and technology to China. It didn't prevent genocide in areas prone to it.

What did we gain from having a president that the world "respected"?

On the other hand, the leaders of Germany and France who fomented so much hatred towards the US because of their feelings towards Prs. Bush were voted OUT by their citizens... both in favor of the candidate who openly respected Prs. Bush and the US.

Prs. Clinton thought he was being respected by the world, but he mistook friendly words for respect. They liked him, they listened to him, but in the end, it was Prs. Clinton giving in to them that generated the good will.
