A book for the game

Hey you guys, I would like to know if I am the only one who play this game and think that Sins is such a great game that it deserves a book like the  Halo novels, I mean everytime I play this game I see something new in the way it plays each time and the back ground of each empire is deep and complex sort of like the games Homeworld and Nexus.

Let me know how you guys feel about a short novel or back ground magazine or something

Umm it would be nice but unless you pull in some one to write it, its not gonna happen...I'd work on it, but I'm already working on three video games, one super mod, and a book so no thank you...

I am not going to say yes, but there certainly is sufficient backstory to support a novel ;)

A book you might enjoy that has the same kind of combat is In Death Ground by David Weber/Steve White.

sufficient backstory for a novel but not for a campaign?

Craig, give us a campaign editor and some more game options before telling us about the potential for a novel. We'll write an entire universe for you if we have good tools.

I've toyed with making campaign-ish maps, but there is only so much Galaxy Forge allows. See (invasion map) and (rogue vengence map) for 7 Deadly Sins 1.3d for example. Given proper tools, I can make these maps and future maps sing volumes.
I even used to fiddle around with FRED2 for Freespace2 and damn if that wasn't fun. The battles and story elements made by the community enriched the game beyond imagination. Give us something on par with that and you won't be disappointed. You might even get enough good campaigns/stories for several books.

In Death Ground is actually the first of three novels. Quite a campaign it is.

End of quote

The present exclusion of a campaign has nothing to do with story, but with the budget and mechanics (polishing the core gameplay was decided to be more important than a typical ten-mission tutorial campaign). As has been said before, we hope to do a campaign in the expansion.
