custom map install

ok ive got 3 maps that i downloaded from here in down loads. one comes up and works the the othe 2 dont. ive changed the version from 0 to 1 in notepad like one one post sugested and still doesnt come up game. im running 1.4 version. any help guys . the maps are big blue v2 (works) real space and sessrion cluster (both dont work)

One of those two at least I know was made with the in-game designer, so it needs to go in the location below rather than the Galaxy folder where the game itself is at. They should then appear under the Custom category in map selection.


Vista:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy

XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy

Please note that some of these directories are hidden by default. To unhide them, go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View and set yourself to view hidden files and folders.

i figured it out. in the replies from the designer in the down load it says to load in galaxy forge then save. and it worked dont know why. but do you know how to connect different star systems together ive tried cant connect wormholes. and the maps ive downloaded. dont even have wormholes they connect thru the stars, im lost on how they do it

You don't have to connect them. Once you research the long-range jump tech in the game, you can move from any star to any other.
