What's the story on two versions?!

1.04 and 1.04.022?!?!?!?!

So right now there are two versions of the next patch available. If you download the update manually via the link on the front page you have 1.04. And if you update via SDC you will have 1.04.022. The two versions are, of course, incompatable on ICO. When is this going to be fixed, for the clarity and sanity of us all? I don't mean to sound ungrateful for the recent patch, but I would say this isn't a small problem.

Even though the standalone and Stardock version numbers are slightly different, they are not incompatible (the files are exactly the same). Only the Impulse one had trouble, and even then it didn't affect everyone.

Case in point: last night I played with two friends. One got the standalone, one got from Impulse (before it got pulled), and I got mine from Impulse, redid with the standalone, THEN updated with the SDC version. I hosted the game, and the other two had no trouble connecting.

All of the relevant information is here, with reply #10 explaining that the version difference betw. the standalone and the SDC version is unimportant.
