Believability of Armastice?

Hey there,

It seems all of the other abilities are interesting and believable in the backdrop of the story. But I have trouble trying to believe that a capital ship, independent of the government could force a temporary cease fire. I can just imagine:

"Yes - I know we have orders to destroy every ship of the enemy, and yes I know that particular ship has asked fir these cease fires about ten times, but even though there is no advantage to us they have asked for an armastice AND they said pretty-please. We must comply"

Does anyone else think this is kind of strange?

It is a stupid, semi-imba ability. Replace it.

I like it, it makes for a great escape ability and it's a late lvl ability.
Just consider it to be some sort of weapon-jamming function or w/e :P.

It's a space game, realism hardly applies.

more to the point, it's a PSIONIC ability. many of the advent abilities are. they're basically warping the ships crews perception of reality to suit the advents needs, over a short duration. suck it up, it makes sense.

But armistice is not advent ability, rather TEC one? ;)

(Or do advent have one as well? Have only been playing TEC so far)

I find the ability funny enough, though. Activate it, and wait for reinforcements to come if you're losing!

My working theory for Armistice is that it's the Akkan's captain distracting the enemy admiral by pretending to have the fleet surrender.

I don't know where this QQ is coming from. It's a perfectly legit ability. It's not overpowered. And it makes Akkan more than just a static buff cruiser.
