It's annoying, but if stardock lets it out early, it'll undurcut the retailers, and they'll get pissy, and they won't be able to find any foreign distributors. And that's generally regarded as really bad.

Again we are fixed to US release time when internationally its common to release on a Friday.

I liked it how with Quake wars internationally was released on the Friday then on the following Monday for US.

To me people who want it online will have ordered it by now and the people who want to wait for retail will wait till Monday. Will make no difference to retail sales really.

Screw the retailers... I don't even buy PC games from them anymore. I like buying from Stardock online and I prefer to buy their products online. Even if I want a box, I'll buy from them easily.

At my local Gamestop, they stop selling PC games since they are more focus on DVD movies. I actually have to go 2 miles further to get my PC games. Sure I can go to Walmart, but who really wants to go there.

The last 3 games I bought was from Stardock. Port Royale 2 is great. I pre-ordered Sins and Galciv Twilight. I was thinking of buying another game, but since Stardock offered Port Royale 2 online, I figured I would rather spend my money on that than some other game that might have some copy protection that just annoys me.

Oh, and put me on the reserve for that MMO you guys are developing. Societies or something like that. I don't know what it is, but I'm excited about it already. I don't know why, but I find it fun to buy stuff from Stardock online.

And I believe in Stardock. I wish you guys offered more games on TotalGaming.Net. I'd like to see games like other MMOs or even games they offer in Steam.

You lucky I have to wait 5 Days 23 Hours and 42 Minutes if I'm lucky. Then again since I'm in Canada I could have to wait up to a week after that in order to get it.

Aren't the retailers already getting it way later due to ship time? IIRC the release date is not the date it'll be in stores, only given to those who ordered digitally, so it won't be on shelves.

I went to EB games today and was told they where getting the game on the 8th.

I think that has something to do with the fact that your at least 6150 KM away from where I live in Canada and that you are at least 900 KM away from the boarder compared to me being about 150 KM away from the US Boarder.

Why do you speak as if Canada was a different country? Everyone knows it's the 51st State.

hehe After having played for so long the beta version, with all its faults, it was still more fun then some games that have been released!
I am happy to continue to play my beta until feb 4th.

I may not even have time to play until the following weekend...  

*technically* its considred the fifty first state, but its not written in stone as Canada themselves haven't officailly declared themselves.
