Special weapon technologies like Telepathic defense

Because of some kind of problem with the latest patches, i am unable to play any patch beyond the original 1.0
There are a great deal of special technologies out there. Like telepathic defense, subspace rebounder, i once researched some kind of organic armor, and another couple of those technologies. However none of these technologies appear up in my ship design menu.
Now im wondering, can some1 tell me the stats of these technologies, and tell me if there is a way of editing a xml file, so i can actually use these??
