True Terraforming

I wish there was a way to truly terraform all those useless 0 value planets... But then again since there's no apparent distinction between the gas giants and the rock planets I daresay it isn't possible.

I also would like more terraforming options, even if they were expensive and there must be some way the developers could make some distinctiopn between gas giants and surface planets.

I agree - being able to Terraform *useless* worlds would add a whole new dimension to the game, not to mention make things much more interesting when playing in smaller galaxies where the usable worlds vanish very quickly.

When I played the game for the first few times, I never got far enough to reach the Terraforming skill. I was playing at the lower levels to get a feel for the gameplay. Later though, when I finally obtained the knowledge, I was disappointed to see that I was unable to truly *terraform* despite GNN stating that this was the "Genesis" effect (taken directly from Star Trek. I immediately envisioned some sort of module that could be attached to a ship to make a "0" (Zero) world become something better. Either this was omitted in the game or I have completely missed it.

Could someone help or could the game developers try to add such a feature in a later update/version?

Thank you.

BTW - GCII is awesome and I do not regret for a moment getting it. My wife on the other hand may not be so happy as I now spend hours upon hours playing the game

It may be nice, but really how would you give an atmosphere to an airless rock like Mercury, or as noted a planet like Jupiter? There would really only be a small amount of the class 0's that are actually something able to retain an atmosphere while still being terrestrial and otherwise able to support habitation.

The simple solution would to be just letting the engine generate class 1 planets, and set them to have many unlockable tiles.
