I got the game but cant play it :(

I got the collectors edition and when installing it said I needed 64mbs more of free space to install. I unninstalled a few stuff but I dotn know why but with every uninstall the number went up from 64 to 124mbs needed. I had 1GB free space and after uninstalling 2 games it droped down to 700mbs free space. I cant even test it to see if it will work on my 16mb video card.

by "uninstalling" are you simply deleting the folder or using window's Add/remove program?

If you're just deleting the folder, make sure you empty your recycle bin.

Also, you need about 1.5 free GB space for this game.
And windows needs to have about 1gb free for optimal performances so try not to fill up your HD too much.

It won't work on your card, and sounds like your hard drive is too small as well. People are having trouble getting even 32 and 64 MB cards to work due to the compatability requirements for DirectX. Unfortunately you need a newer system to play this game.

It did occur to me that if you can get enough room freed up on your hard drive, you might be able to play the game with no videos, and with icons instead of textures. However with your comp not meeting 3 of the minimum requirements you are practically guaranteed not to be able to run it.

Well I used add/remove and the memoery needed to install the game went down. I had to do a restore point becasue i deleted a program needed to run the computer and instead of having the files i deleted back they where stell gone and the memory was 700MB.

I bought and tried to install the game, but it will not work! When I click on the install button it hangs. I have noticed the program is 'Not Responding' when the Windows Task Manager is active.
Why can't I install the program?
I've made sure my computer has the necessary hardware to run the game. Help please!

That's a problem. You really do need to update the driver (if an update even EXISTS for that other card).

Also, eventhough your system has DirectX9.0c, there's no guarentee that your video card is compatible.

Unfortunately, it seriously looks like you need a new card (16MB probably won't cut it, even if you find a compatible driver).

I don't think there is any way that video card will work with GalCiv II. It is a Direct X 7 card, and the game requires a Direct X 9 card.

Even if your card did work, (and it won't), your drivers are three years old. You would need the current Nvidia drivers, and I'm not sure they will work with a card that is at least 4 generations out dated now.

We need more details. What are your system specs? What operating system? How much free disk space and so on.

That card will work. Make sure you have PCI Express x16 slots in your computer for that card. There is a difference between PCI, AGP, and PCI Express. I bought a GeForce 5200 FX AGP card from newegg for <$40 (shipping included) and that works fine for both Gal Civ II and Civ IV. It does stutter a little for fleet battles. Take a look there at Geforce 6200 as they are cheap too.
Do your homework, and make sure you have the correct interface for the video card you want to buy.

1gig of space left on your hd, lol. Sorry, had to laugh,
I've been there. You can pick up 250 gigs for around $80 including shipping these days.

Well this computer is 6 years old and what I have was like very good back then. I have a 9.3GB HD and am going to upgrade to a 160GB seagate HD. Inorder to run that GFX card I want to buy I am going to buy a
IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 630 Processor 3.0GHz with Hyper-Threading Technology. I stell have the papers that say what my pc comes with. Dose it say on there if my motherbored has x16

It just I dont know what a LGA775 socket is lol it says that is req. to put the CPU in.

If you have a 6 year old PC, your motherboard definitely does not have a PCI Express x16 slot, and it does not have an LGA775 CPU socket. You're going to end up building or buying a whole new machine.

6 years old?
I don't think PCI express was out then. PCI IS NOT PCI Express. Any new video card listed as PCI is a PCI Express card.
Take a look at some motherboard pics at newegg. The motherboard info will tell you what type of busses it has. Compare the slot pics with what you have. You may have to buy a new system because if your system only has PCI, I don't think you can even buy a Video card for that bus anymore. My 7 yr old computer has AGP 1X which is too obsolete for upgrading.
