How do you repair Starbases?

I can't seem to figure out how to repair starbases. I got Enhanced Miniturization to get Repair Bots but I didn't find a repair module. Is it one of the Starship Defense technologies? Can someone tell me how it's done please? My best starbase is down to 3 HP and I spent tons of money on it.

You don't. Repair for ships and starbases is automatic; you just have to give it enough time.

I suggest sticking fleets around it on "Guard" or "Sentry" to keep it from being harassed while it heals.

Do they actually do anything on starbases? On ships, they just have the ships wait until something comes within sensor range.

I'd be nice if you could expend a constructor to heal a starbase, or have it enhance repair-rates for things it's stacked with. Maintenance ships, maybe?

Yeah I hate the fact your ships can get beat up and take forever to repair, and if I recall correctly before you get the necessary tech. Ships and bases don't heal at all, which seems insane to me. I think ship should be about to repairs naturally by 25% each turn, so it pushes the importance of pushing on with attacks.

I've seen no end of DL ships just wondering around forever with damages and no one attacking them. I do of course!

yeah, faster healing rate would be cool, but not 25%, maybe 10%...

...also, i don't know if oyu have noticed, but if you park damaged ships in orbit of a planet, they are repaired very quickly!

Your ships will repair if you send them back to a planet. And if you research micro repair bots they'll repair themselves fast and anywhere

A repair module for Star bases would be good. This can come with enhanced miniaturization and "repair bots". This module when installed would increase the repair rate of starbase to 15% per turn for example. Later a more advanced module would up it to 25% or something like that.

Right now it's kind of ridiculous. I mean you have the repair bot tech, why can't your empire use this tech for starbases? A star base with all these modules is a huge investment and should be able to repair faster than 1 HP every few turns.

Right now I'm seeing my military star base on the brink of collapse before I installed heavy armor to counter mass driver tech. So now I'm still paying for a mistake I made near the beginning of the game.

This is also why there is a repair racial ability.

Those little repair bots are terrific in a pinch.
