Post here if you have no major bugs

Hi there

Just glancing at the forums, and it looks like a lot of people are having some major problems, but I imagine a lot more are not (just based on my experiences and Stardock's reputation).

As a developer myself I get someone despondant when all I see are bug reports, even if statistically speaking it may be 1 in 100 people having a severe bug.

Anyway, just to add some balance to the initial perception of someone visiting the forum for the first time, feel free to post here if you have not experienced any major bugs.

I have played for about 3 hours so far on a gigantic galaxy and have experienced none.

Yes, viewing these forums can give one a lopsided view of the game.  I'd like to think that the people who aren't experiencing major bugs are having too much fun playing the game to be bothered with posting to these forums.   Glad to hear things are going well for you so far, Dano.

There really isn't anything major that I see. I reported one minor bug where a window gets stuck behind another. Certainly no show stopper and I think you'll find a lot of the posts for bugs are just minor things. If there is something major or a show stopper you'll see Stardock post a sticky for it most likely.

I'm not sure whether this thread is likely to give a representative sampling... As CaretFarmer pointed out, those with no problems are probably having enough difficulty remembering to eat, sleep, and perform basic functions without additionally posting to this forum.

For what it's worth, I haven't got any bugs... but that's because my copy is still on a truck on its way to the local EBgames outlet.

No major problems , but a lot of very minor tiny problems that still does not effect "enjoyment" from the game but do exist.

No issues, 10 hour game.

Some people need to redefine major bug as being well, something major.

And more people need to read the pinned topics. How many times have we seen someone post a melodramatic topic name that was covered in the readme or in a sticky?

4-5 hours of sheer unadulterated joy so far.. (even if I'm loosing)
Online purchase and download in peak time last night (release day) was a breeze.

Hats off for doing the online purchase / download right.

Can't wait to get off work today...

No problems. Played for about 4 hours so far. Game runs great and I have an old PC (5 years old). In fact, my only complaint is I'm having trouble staying focused at work today, unless you count staying focused on the game I want to play tonight.

No major problem here either. Just a little annoyed by the fact that the autorun menu pops up every time i turn my computer on...

Only problem was with the game not launching, but I changed the prefs.ini to match my desktop (1280x960) and all is well.

An added note: Running an Nvidia 6150 IGP and it runs GREAT. I have it set at 2X AA and it seems super smooth. at 4X I get some frame rate loss. Have not tried 3X.

My only complaints are UI improvements (that I posted on the ideas board) and the fact that social production, even if unused, still costs money. Grr.

(Oh, and that I can't max research and production at the same, even if I have the money)
(grr)

Yeah, no major bugs yet, considering I'm stuck on frickin' backorder.

A single crash in my 4th straight game while saving a game design. No problems, and the crash was more likely windows than the game! Its on 6x AA, no problems. X700 Mobility Radeon with newest Catalyst Mobility drivers.

My audio's a little skippy. And when I was trying to build ships once, the saving dialogue popped up underneath the shipyard window, so I couldn't save any ship designs and the game crashed. Other than that, perfect.

Had the old 'Ship design save window popping up behind another', and crashing the game once I come out of Ship design and click it myself. It seems to only do it if you go into ship design with other windows left open (especially if you leave the GNN one open after clicking goto 'insert planet here' and redesigning ships). So i now make sure I only go to redesign ships after I have closed every other window. A slight nusiance, prehaps, but better than CTD'ing. Apart from that my game experience has been pretty much flawless. Enjoyin it immensly.

No major bugs here, either. I played from the time I got home after work last night until the wee hours of the morning (I have gotten very little work done today), and didn't have one crash or error message.
Great, great job to the people at Stardock. I am loving the game.

No technical problems whatsoever here (but some inexplicable values when number crunching. Probably mostly due to lacking information and not due to bugs, though.)
