Not only is there an Athens in the USA, I live in Florence, Al, USA. Its about as uninteresting of a place as you can find. It does shame to the Italian Florence. (Or so I would assume. I've never been...)

The only reason I asked if you were a cab driver was when i was in athens (greece) me and my friend got taken by them, twice in the same night, 20 eu to dirve us about 2 blocks one time and the next time we wanted to go to a club, so we asked this guy to take us to a good one, and he said if we didn't like the looks of it he would take us back, so we go and of course there are like 5 or 6 clubs along a river and it looks great, so we pay another 20 eu (again for like two blocks) tried to get into the clubs and they said "members only" ( I think it was because we were americans) except for this 80's club filled with guys and smelled bad, in other words I didn't care for the cabbies there and walked back.

Yeah, i know what you mean. Unfortunately there are some of those taxi drivers who take advatage of foreigners. It's a kind of plague, especially in Athens. I have many rellatives in Germany and one of them was taken advatage of twice even though she speaks Greek as good as German and the driver couldn't have known she's from abroad (exept from the fact that he picked her up at the airport ). It's a bad experience when you don't know how much the fare costs and they ripp you off. Bastards!
About the clubs: i know that there is no such thing a being a member in those clubs. Which year was it that you were in Athens?

You can use the underground (subway) system now in Athens! Pretty plush! I was there a couple of years ago and I love Athens - I could have stayed there much longer but I needed a beach, so I went and stayed on Amorgos for 6 weeks!

I personally claim The Most Exotic Location award! As for temperature - it's ALWAYS 35c+ here! Which has it's good sides and it's bad sides (wearing a shirt and tie to work for example).

Actually, I'm from London though. I've been living here in Bangkok for 2.5 years teaching.

And 1 more for the Belgium list!

Bit frustrated having to wait to complete the download simply because the Americans are a civilization backwards in time, granted it's only a couple of hours, but still backwards

Any former European Alliance players??
