Will this game have Planetary Bombardment and Tactical combat???

Also minor questions, from what i see in the pictures will the planets rotate on their own axis and their star's, and will starbases have little blinking lights???

No. Invasions are a simple affair of your troops vs their population (taxpaying population that is, so just consider them as using mandatory service for citizens). The troop values are then modified by your technology level, soldering ability, and choice of invasion method. The end result is slightly randomised (you press a button and try to get as high a random modifier as you can), and you get a short sequence showing the battle play out based on the determined values.

Space battles are not tactical either, though there is a 'battle viewer' option that allows you to see the ships move around and fire on each other in real time, but the results are predetermiend based on the various attakc/defense/hp/quantities involved.

Planets and stars do spin, but the planets'locations are fixed (they do not revolve around their stars). Some planets have moons though and the moons to spin and revolve around their primaries.

I haven't looked close enough at the starbases to see if they have blinking lights, but they do gain rotating rings and panels and such as you upgrade them.

Yes, Allthough it is listed under "Invasion Tactics"

All they do is give you a bonus to invasion chances, allthough at a cost.

thx for the answers, even if it doesnt have orbital bombardment and tactical combat , from what i see this is going to turn out to be a pretty darn good game, going to pre-order right now. thx for ur kick anwsers
